Viva Aerobus is a Mexican domestic budget airline based at General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY), in Monterrey, Mexico.
Viva Aerobus started operations in November 30, 2006. The airline connects Monterrey to several Mexican domestic destinations. Viva Aerobus plans to start flights to US. On November 5, 2007 The airline received approval form the US Department of Transportation to operate to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Viva Aerobus is owned in part by the Ryan family, founders of Ryanair, and the Mexican bus company IAMSA.
