Indonesia AirAsia X will start flights between Melbourne and Bali on March 18th, 2015 with two flights per week, increasing to five flights per week from May 1st, 2015.The airline has been granted approval to fly direct between Melbourne and Bali (Denpasar) by Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
From May 1st, 2015, the direct flights will depart Melbourne Airport to Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a total flight time of 6 hours and 10 minutes.
The Melbourne – Bali flights will be operated with an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a seating capacity of 377 seats. The configuration will be as per AirAsia X’s configuration of 365 economy seats and 12 business class flat bed seats. [Read more…]

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ largest national carrier, has announced it will offer direct flights from Manila to Bali, Indonesia, with effect from March 16, 2013. Bali is the budget airline’s 20th international destination.
The schedule will be two round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Outbound flights will depart Manila at 4:00am and arrive in Bali (Denpasar) at 7:50am. Return flights will depart Bali (Denpasar) at 8:35am, and arrive in Manila at 12:25pm.
Promotional fares start from 888 PHP ($22 USD) + taxes for one-way travel.

AirAsia will resumes flights from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Solo, Indonesia with effect from December 21, 2012. The route was temporarily suspended earlier this year.
AirAsia will offer 3 round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. One-way fares start from 99 MYR ($33 USD).
“Indonesia is a very important market and offers a chance for AirAsia to develop. The closure of the Kuala Lumpur–Solo [Surakarta] route in the beginning of this year was part of the process to improve [AirAsia’s] business model in Indonesia so we can improve our services and facilities,” said AirAsia Berhad CEO Aireen Omar in a quote to tribunnews.com.
