Mihin Lanka, Sri Lanka’s only budget airline, will revise its flight schedule starting February 01, 2012.
The airline will offer twice weekly seasonal services from Colombo to the Indian city of Gaya until April 1, 2012 and a twice weekly connection to Varanasi, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, until March 30, 2012.
Mihin Lanka will also cancel its daily link between Colombo and Male in the Maldives.
The low-cost airline will increase its flights to the Indonesian capital Jakarta from three to four flights per week and to Sharjah, UAE, from two to three flights per week. Flights on the combined Dubai and Kuwait route will be reduced from five to four flights per week.
The state-owned budget airline which commenced its operations in April 2007 operates its international flights from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo to main cities in India, and the Gulf States, Dhaka in Bangladesh, Bangkok in Thailand and Jakarta in Indonesia using a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.
