airBaltic is a low-cost airline based in Riga, Latvia. It was founded in 1995 as a joint venture between Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and the government of Latvia. airBaltic is the first national airline that is also a low-cost airline.
From its base at Riga International Airport, airBaltic flies to more than 70 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Some airBaltic flights are codeshares with SAS, KLM, Aeroflot, and other partner airlines.
airBaltic operates a mixed fleet of Boeing 737, Boeing 757, Bombardier Dash 8, and Fokker F50 aircrafts.
