AirAsia will start direct Singapore – Lombok and Singapore – Solo flights in January 2015. With the additional routes, AirAsia will operate direct flights to 17 destinations from Singapore.
Lombok, located near Bali, is an Indonesian island that is still relatively untouched by mass tourism and as such has maintained much of the charm that helped Bali grow into one of the world’s favorite holiday destinations.
Solo, also known as Surakarta, is a culturally vibrant city in Central Java and the birthplace of the current president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The city is also a popular destination for Batik hunters where they can find the best quality of Batik fabrics and clothing at Pasar Klewer, the biggest textile market in Indonesia or explore exquisite local culinary at Pasar Legi and Pasar Kembang.
AirAsia is offering an introductory fare of Sin$ 79 all-in fare, one way, on flights into Lombok and Sin$ 69 on flights into Solo. The promotion is available for bookings up to 7 December 2014, for travel between 28 January 2015 and 17 January 2016.
The Singapore-Lombok route will commence 28 January 2015, while Singapore-Solo route will commence 29 January 2015.
